API Foundry makes difficult public data easier to query. It does not replace the authoritative source.
Source and freshness
Records can be delayed, incomplete, incorrect, superseded, differently defined across sources, or unavailable while a connector is updating. Check response provenance, dataset version, refresh time, coverage, and the original source before relying on a material fact.
No professional or safety advice
The APIs do not provide legal, medical, financial, tax, employment, engineering, navigation, public-safety, or other professional advice. Verify unit conversions used in safety-critical work. Holiday data does not determine payroll, closures, leave, or legal deadlines. Currency knowledge does not provide exchange rates. Occupation data does not guarantee career outcomes.
Geographic and linguistic neutrality
Names, boundaries, codes, language relationships, and jurisdiction labels follow identified sources and do not express a political position or claim to settle disputed status. Language-country use and macrolanguage relationships are not equivalent to identity, ethnicity, fluency, or genealogical classification.
Derived fields and AI
AI may assist normalization or explanation only where disclosed. AI is never the authoritative source of a factual record. Derived fields must remain distinguishable from imported source facts.
Licensing
Source metadata and API access do not automatically authorize commercial reuse, bulk redistribution, or removal of attribution. Review the source registry and the source's current terms before redistributing data.
